Never in my life have I been THIS excited to be able to start exercising again. I don’t think I would have ever thought that I’d be counting down the days until my postpartum check up knowing that if they don’t clear me to run I’ll probably start crying.
I thought for sure this would be my healthiest pregnancy, where I gained the least amount of weight. In fact I remember my goal being to only gain 25lbs, since I had lost so much in the beginning of last year and I still had a few more pounds that I wanted to lose. At 14 weeks I thought I was going to stick to that goal, I had only gained 3lbs. Somewhere around there something happened and I started gaining weight like crazy. My total weight gain come delivery time was 59lbs. By the time I got home for good from the hospital I had lost 40bs in 10 days. I have only lost one pound since then lol. Of course that still leaves almost 20lbs to lose, and a very flabby body to tone up.
My husband got me The Biggest Loser game for the wii, so between that, running and 30-day shred I hope to get toned and be ready to run another half marathon by late spring, early summer.
Like I said, I’ve never been more excited to run in my life!! Every day I wake up and say “ok, 5 more days until my appointment!” I think I’ve turned into a freak.
